Gazelles Gymnasts Finish Sixth at Mitchell Invite

Yankton placed sixth out of 12 teams at the Mitchell Gymnastics Invitational on Saturday.  The host Kernels won the meet with a 146.1 total, while the Gazelles scored a 135.5.  Yankton was led by junior Alison Johnson who had a 9.5 on the vault, tying for first place out of 55 competitors in that event.read more »

Rural Economy in the Region is Improving

A new monthly survey of bankers suggests the economy is improving in rural parts of ten Plains and Western states, including South Dakota and Nebraska.  Creighton University economist Ernie Goss said the region still has about 95,000 fewer jobs than it did before the pandemic.
