Gazelles and Bucks Basketball at SF O’Gorman Tonight

Jamestown Defeats MMU in Monday Women’s Basketball

The Jamestown women’s basketball team rolled past Mount Marty 65-44 in women’s basketball Monday at the Cimpl Arena.  The Lancers shot only 11 percent from three-point range and fell to 3 and 8 overall.  Mount Marty has a GPAC women’s game at Concordia next Wednesday night.read more »

Sjerven and Selland Share Summit League Honor

SDSU senior Myah Selland and USD senior Hannah Sjerven shared the Summit League Women’s Basketball Player of the Week honors.  Last week, Selland averaged 21 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assist per game for South Dakota State.  Sjerven averaged 23 points and 14 rebounds a game for the Coyotes last week.read more »

Bucks Rated Fourth in SD Media HS Basketball Poll

In the South Dakota Media high school basketball poll this week, the Yankton Bucks are rated fourth in Class AA as Brandon Valley has moved into the number-one spot.  Vermillion is fifth in Class A boys basketball.  Viborg-Hurley is rated third in the boys division and fifth in girls hoops this week in Class B.read more »

A Viborg woman has been identified as the person who died Wednesday night in a one-vehicle crash near Viborg. A 2020 Chevrolet Equinox was westbound on 459th Avenue when the driver lost control.
