The Dordt Defenders scorched the nets for 83 percent field goal shooting in the second half to rally past Mount Marty 97-80 in men’s G-PAC basketball Saturday in Yankton. Dordt had five players score at least 14 points, while senior Elijah Pappas topped the Lancers with 27 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 3 steals. The Lancers are now 7-7 overall this season heading into the holiday break.
The University of South Dakota won their second men’s basketball game of the season on Sunday with an 84-44 victory over Mount Marty. Stanley Umude led the Coyotes with 21 points, while Allen Wilson scored 12 in an exhibition game for the Lancers that did not count in their official win-loss record.
