Among the many effects seen with this year’s COVID 19 pandemic, changes in the plans of individuals and entire communities can be counted among the pervasive impacts brought about by the coronavirus.
Mayor Nathan Johnson says a year ago, momentum was moving forward towards more continued development in Yankton’s Meridian District.
Johnson says that change in momentum due to COVID 19 was a source of disappointment.
Johnson says along with addressing the COVID 19 pandemic, there will be other important issues for municipal government to address in 2021.
Johnson says, after being scuttled this year, he is hopeful that open houses can be held next year to give the public a first-hand look at the community’s new water treatment plant.
