RC Stevens Top Bucks in Tennis Friday

The Yankton boys tennis squad lost a 6-3 decision to Rapid City Stevens on Friday.  Singles victories for the Bucks went to Gage Becker and Zac Briggs, while Briggs teamed with Harrison Krajewski for a doubles win.  Yankton is now 9-4 on the boys tennis season.read more »

Bucks Tennis Sweeps Three Matches on Thursday

The Yankton boys tennis squad swept three matches yesterday on the home courts.  The Bucks edged Harrisburg 5-4, topped Rapid City Christian 8-1, and downed Lennox 7-2 on Thursday.  Yankton is 9 and 3 on the dual meet season and will host Rapid City Stevens today with the match starting at 10 AM.read more »

Gazelles Started Their Golf Season Thursday in SF

The Yankton girls golf team opened their season yesterday and shot a 379 total to place third in a quadrangular at Willow Run Golf Course in Sioux Falls.   Halle Stephenson and Jillian Eidsness each carded 91’s to lead the Gazelles, who will host Sioux Falls O’Gorman Monday afternoon at Fox Run Golf Course.read more »

FCS Playoffs Begin Saturday; SDSU is #1 Seed

The FCS playoffs start Saturday with eight games across the nation.  Top-seed South Dakota State will face Holy Cross in a 2:00 kickoff in Brookings.  Five teams from the Missouri Valley Football Conference qualified for the 16-team playoffs.read more »

The Mount Maty University women’s basketball program has signed a second player from the Mitchell Kernels for their team. MMU Senior Blake Svoboda GPAC Pitcher of the Week

Mount Marty senior Blake Svoboda has been named the G-PAC Pitcher of the Week.  Svoboda fired a seven-inning complete game five-hit shutout with 13 strikeouts at Jamestown Saturday.  For the season, Svoboda is now 4-2 with a 3.75 ERA and has 47 K’s in 36 innings.
