Yankton High School won six events Tuesday in a strong six-team field at a track and field meet held at the Yankton Middle School facility. The Bucks won the 800 and 1600 relays, Zach Fedde took first in the 1600 and 3200 long distance runs, Cody Oswald won the 110 hurdles and Gazelles freshman Shae Rumsey was first in the 400-meter dash.
The Yankton Bucks tennis squad split a pair of matches Tuesday at the USD courts in Vermillion. Sioux Falls Washington blanked Yankton by a 9-0 score, then the Bucks defeated Vermillion 8-1. Yankton is 6-3 on the boys tennis season and will host matches on Thursday and Friday.
The Yankton Bucks baseball squad lost an 8-2 contest against top-ranked Sioux Falls Lincoln last night at Riverside Field, dropping the Bucks Class A record to 2-9 this season.
