Plans are moving forward to remove the rock from the Westside Park Pond.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says that is scheduled to begin on Wednesday, but it is weather pending.
This comes after the city hired a third-party consultant to take a look at the work previously done on the pond after leakage was discovered last July.
Leon says that it should take about a week to remove the rock from the pond.
