Wakonda experienced an earthquake this past weekend. While earthquakes are uncommon in South Dakota, Kelo Meteorologist, Scot Mundt, says that South Dakota sees an average of one or two per year.
Mundt says that Wakonda experienced a 3.0 magnitude earthquake.
According to Kelo, the depth of the earthquake was about 8.3 kilometers deep.
