One of Two Charged in Laurel Quadruple Homicide has Their Pretrial Extended

One of the two people charged in a quadruple homicide in Laurel, NE has had her pretrial extended.

Carrie Jones, 44, who appeared in Cedar County District Court Monday, faces charges of first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and accessory to murder in a quadruple homicide that occurred in August of 2022.

Jones’ pretrial was extended Monday to give her attorney, Nate Stratton of Norfolk, NE time to work through a discovery of evidence.

Jones and her husband Jason are both scheduled to appear in court on January 22nd, 2024.
