Yankton Firefighters were out early Monday morning battling a blaze on Pine Street.
Deputy Fire Chief, Larry Nickles, says that the fire started in the basement of an occupied home.
Nickles says that the early morning call followed an earlier fire in Yankton last night where a suspected cigarette started a fire next to a home.
Nickles says that last night’s call came in around 9:45.
