The March to the Meridian marching band competition is scheduled to take place in Yankton on Saturday, with more than 20 bands slated to take part in the competition.
Yankton High School Band Director Gwen Wenisch says that Saturday’s event will start with the parade competition.
Following the parade portion will be the field competition at 11:30. Wenisch says that the YHS band will be doing a military based routine during the event.
March to the Meridian will begin with the parade competition at 9:00 AM at the Meridian Bridge, and end with the field competition, beginning at 11:30 AM at Crane-Youngworth Field.
