Crofton City Councilman James Murphy will remain on the Crofton City Council after last night’s recall election.
The vote totals are as follows
Yes: 82
No: 222
Crofton also approved a raise in the city’s sales and use tax yesterday evening.

For sales and use tax: 166
Against sales and use tax: 140
The vote totals will remain unofficial until canvassing is completed, with the canvassing board scheduled to meeting Wednesday morning.
