New Park Ranger Talks Role at MNRR

The Missouri National Recreational River has a new Lead Park Ranger for Interpretation.

Abby Schauer, who has been on the job for nearly three months, says that she is originally from Spencer, IA.

Schauer explained what her job entails.

Schauer says that the reason she wanted to become a park ranger is because she has visiting national parks since she was a young child.

Schauer was previously with the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado before moving to the Yankton area.
