The name of the person who was killed in a two-vehicle accident northwest of Tyndall last week has been released
According to the SD Department of Public Safety, a 2017 Kenworth semi-tractor-trailer was driving southbound SD Highway 37, when it struck a 2007 Nissan Xterra that was traveling westbound on SD Highway 46.
Preliminary crash information indicates that the Nissan Xterra failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with SD 37 and was struck in a T-bone manner by the Kenworth semi.
The driver of the Nissan, Jose Valera Diaz, 43, Dell Rapids, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the semi, Bradley Jones, 63, Wayne, NE, received minor injuries.
The SD Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
