The 2023-2024 school year will begin a week from today for the Yankton School District.
YSD Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle says that all staff members in the district officially returned to work today.
Kindle says that the best thing that parents can do to get students ready for the school year is to make sure that things like registration and transportation are taken care of.
Kindle says that students can be registered for school on the Yankton School District website.
Kindle says that they will have open houses throughout the week, with 6th grade from 4-6 p.m. on Tuesday at the middle school, 7th and 8th grade on Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. at the middle school, and an elementary school open house on Thursday from 4:30-6 p.m.
