Last month, the City of Yankton announced that they discovered leakage at the Westside Park Pond.
The city says that the water level in the pond was falling at a rate greater than the engineer’s design specifications.
Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says that the pond is still leaking water, but they are working on a different design to help stop the leakage.
Leon says that they’re still hoping to finish work on the pond this year.
