Yankton County’s Veterans Services Officer, Rob Stickney, has been helping with PACT Act Claims, but the deadline is fast approaching.
If a veteran files a PACT Act claim by August 9th, 2023, then they will preserve it with the effective date of August 10th, 2022. The veteran may also file the intent to file a claim by August 9th, will lock in the same effective date.
Pact Act claims may still be filed after August 9th, but they will lose the 2022 effective date.
