Almost 800 homes and businesses were impacted by a power outage in Yankton just after 9 a.m. Wednesday morning.
Jo Dee Black with Northwestern Energy says that the outage was caused by a contractor that was doing some work when he hit an underground powerline.
Black says that those impacted by the outage had their power restored within 30 minutes, except for the Human Services Center campus, which was restored after two hours.
