The City of Yankton has announced that they have discovered leakage at the Westside Park pond.
The announcement comes after the city refiled the pond in late June due to water seepage.
The city says that the water level in the pond is falling at a rate greater than the engineer’s design specifications.
City Public Works Director Adam Haberman says that they don’t have much information on the leak or plans moving forward at this time, but engineers are studying the leak, and they hope to have more information soon.
