An electrical transformer fire occurred this morning in the area of 8th and Burleigh.
The Yankton Fire Department says that those in the area of 8th and Burleigh should use caution in the area while the situation is in progress.
The Yankton Fire Department says residents and businesses in the area may experience power outages while the transmitter is being repaired.
Yankton Firefighters, Yankton Police Department, and Northwestern Public Service are on the scene.
