Yankton Fire Department Raising Awareness Towards Distracted Driving

With more families out on the road traveling during the summer season, the Yankton Fire Department is running a social media campaign to remind drivers to keep their eyes on the road.

Yankton Fire Chief Tim Linke says that the fire department has been posting quizzes and facts on their Facebook page to help raise awareness towards distracted driving.

In South Dakota using a cellphone while driving carries a $178 fine and could be filed as a class two misdemeanor.
