Yankton Prison Escapee Caught

A prisoner that escaped the Yankton Minimum Unit in May has been captured.

Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says that a Yankton Police Officer was attending to another call for service in the Riverside Park area on Wednesday when he observed a male sitting on a park bench that matched the description of Michael York, 50, who escaped the Yankton Minimum Unit on May 12th.

Foote says that the officer was able to identify the male as York and arrested him on charges of Second-Degree Escape and False Impersonation with intent to deceive Law Enforcement.

Foote says that York was with a female, Kristee Entzel, 41, who was arrested and charged with Concealing a Prisoner.
