The name of the victim of the assault at the 700 block of Walnut Street Monday has been released.
The victim has been identified as Timber Rose Cournoyer, 33, of Yankton. Adrian Lund, 31, of Yankton, has been charged with Homicide as Murder in the Second Degree, Domestic Aggravated Assault, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
The investigation was conducted by the Yankton Police Department, Yankton County EMS, and the SD Division of Criminal Investigation.
