A man has been charged in a death that occurred on the 700 block of Walnut St. Monday.
Adrian Vaughn Lund, 31, has been charged with Second-Degree Murder, Domestic Aggravated Assault, and Possession of Controlled Substance.
Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says that they were called to the scene after receiving a report of an assault, upon arrival, officers located a female that was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital by ambulance before she succumbed to her injuries.
Foote says that they identified Adrian Vaughn Lund as a person of interest and apprehended him Tuesday afternoon.
The name of the victim has not been released at this time.
