The Yankton Police Department is reporting that they have located a person of interest in a death that occurred on the 700 block of Walnut St. Monday.
Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote says that they were called to the scene after receiving a report of an assault, upon arrival, officers located a female that was seriously injured and was transported to the hospital by ambulance before she succumbed to her injuries.
Foote says that they identified Adrian Vaughn Lund as a person of interest before apprehending him Tuesday afternoon.
Foote says that more information will be released when it is available.
