The names of the victims in the pursuit east of Yankton Wednesday have been released.
The Yankton County Sheriff’s Office is reporting that Anna Selwyn, 27, and Gabriel Ortega, 26, both of Sioux City, IA, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Sheriff Preston Crissey says that Selwyn and Ortega were two of the three occupants that were in a 2006 red Chevy Cobalt, which was registered to Selwyn that collided into a semi after a high-speed chase Wednesday morning.
Crissey says that the third occupant of the Chevy Cobalt remains in critical condition. The third occupant’s name has not been released.
Crissey says that the accident is still under investigation and more details will be released at a later date.
