The Yankton School District will be hosting a recognition social on Wednesday.
YMS Principal Dr. Heather Olson says that they will be honoring retirees, as well as teachers and staff members that have been with the school district for 5, 10, 15, 20, 30, and 35 years.
Olson, who is also the Co-Chair for the Teacher of the Year Committee, says that they will announce the district’s Employee and Teacher of the Year during the ceremony.
The YSD recognition social will be held at the Mounty Marty University dining hall at 5:30 on Wednesday.
