Two Cedar County murder trials are scheduled to be in court on Monday.
David Phillips Jr., 20, of Louisiana, who waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Wednesday, is scheduled to appear in District Court.
Phillips is facing a second-degree murder charge in the murder of Israel Matos-Colon, 31, of Michigan, as well as charges for possession of a stolen firearm, and use of a deadly weapon to commit a felony.
Carrie Jones, 43, of Laurel, who has been charged with first-degree murder, tampering with evidence, and accessory to murder, is also scheduled to appear in District Court.
Jones filed a plea in February to have charges against her dismissed, claiming that the prosecution failed to produce enough evidence that she assisted her husband Jason in a quadruple homicide.
Both hearings are scheduled to take place at 10:30 in the Cedar County District Court.
