HHS is Raising Funds to Help a Puppy that Sustained Injuries to Front Legs

The Heartland Humane Society in Yankton is raising funds for a puppy that has problems with both his front legs.

Heartland Director Kerry Feilmeier says a dog named “Lou” was brought to the shelter missing one front foot and with a break in his other front leg.

Feilmeier says the Humane Society needs to find a solution for Lou so he doesn’t lose use of both front legs.

Feilmeier says they are trying to raise about $2800 to buy the prosthetic.  She says there are multiple ways to donate.

Feilmeier says once the money is raised, Lou will be trained to use the prosthetic and then his injured leg will be addressed.
