Yankton County Emergency Management is planning on renewing a mutual aid agreement with nine surrounding counties.
Director of Emergency Management Paul Scherschligt says that the agreement will allow each county to call for help from the other counties if they are needed in emergency situations.
Scherschligt says that the agreement is beneficial for everyone.
The other counties involved in the agreement are Aurora, Beadle, Bon Homme, Brookings, Hanson, Hutchinson, Kingsbury, Miner, and Sanborn.
Scherschligt says that Aurora County is new to the agreement.
