The Yankton County Sherriff’s Office has a new Jail Administrator.
Todd Brandt, who served over 28 years with the Yankton Police Department, recently retired from the YPD before coming out of retirement to join the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office.
Brandt says that his time with the YPD will help him transition into his new role.
Brandt says that he is looking forward to working with the rest of the staff at the Sherriff’s Office.
Brandt added that one of the things that drew him to the Sherriff’s Office was Sherriff Preston Crissey’s progressive attitude.
Brandt and Crissey previously worked together during their time with the Yankton Police Department.
