The name of the victim in a fatal shooting north of Hartington has been released.
Authorities have identified Israel Matos-Colon, 31, of Michigan as the victim of the shooting.
Upon arrival at the scene, authorities discovered the victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
According to the Press and Dakotan, multiple witnesses on scene attempted live-saving measures on the victim before he was transported to Avera Sacred Heart Hospital where he died from his wounds.
David Phillips, 20, of Louisiana, faces three charges, including second degree murder, in connection with the shooting.
