Severe winter weather is expected to hit the Yankton area today.
Kelo Meteorologist Scot Mundt forecasts heavy snowfall for Yankton after nightfall.
Mundt also forecasts high winds with gusts over 30 MPH.
Mundt says that snowfall should end by 7 am Thursday morning, but says that blowing snow and low temperatures in the single digits should be expected for Thursday and Friday.
