Bill that Would See $200 Million in Housing Infrastructure Passes SD House, What it Means For YES4! and Yankton

The South Dakota House passed Senate Bill 41 on Monday, which would release $200 million in state and federal money for housing infrastructure.

Yankton Thrive CEO Nancy Wenande says that Bill 41 could see an impact on some of the Yes4! Campaign projects that they’re working on.

Wenande says that if they receive funds from Bill 41, it could lead to more affordable housing in Yankton.

Wenande added that the funds from Bill 41 are for housing infrastructure only.

Bill 41 passed the House with a 54 to 16 vote and will go to Governor Noem for her signature.
