Severe weather has postponed the start of the second semester for many school districts in the area.
Dr. Wayne Kindle, the Yankton School District Superintendent explained the most important factor he uses in order to make a decision.
Kindle also talked about the resources he uses to determine if the district needs to delay or cancel school.
Kindle added that school district’s decision to make the change to a two hour late that was placed into effect before the school year began has helped tremendously.
