Year In Review by HHS

Heartland Humane Society Executive Director Kerry Feilmeier says the shelter will end the year serving about 750 animals.  Feilmeier says part of the Society’s growth in 2022 included getting out into the community.

Feilmeier says Heartland will do even more in 2023 to put shelter animals together with local residents.

Heartland also added a new pound facility in 2022 with 14 kennels for both dogs and cats that is better for the animals being held and safer for staff and city police.  Feilmeier says the public can help them with their 2023 mission through donations of cash or supplies, and by either volunteering or participating in some of their outreach programming.
