With snowfall and dangerous temperatures impacting the area, the snow plow crew in Yankton has been braving the harsh winter conditions to make sure that things are safe for the Yankton community.
Corey Potts, the Public Works Manager Assistant for the City of Yankton, talked about the crew and equipment that they have in order to keep streets clean.
Potts also made sure to thank some of the team members that help keep the streets of Yankton safe during the winter months.
Adam Haberman, the Public Works Director for the City of Yankton, talked about one way that the community can help make things easier for snow plows.
Haberman added that another way that the community can help snow plow crews is to avoid pushing snow into the streets when shoveling driveways and sidewalks.
