City Finance Officer, Al Viereck, City Manager Amy Leon, and City Attorney, Ross Den Herder would not be effected.
Full-time AFSCME (American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees) and non-union employees were looking at a 7.26 per cent increase, while FOP (Fraternal Order of Police) employees were looking at an 8 per cent increase.

The Commission voted unanimously to approve the pay increases, effective January 1st, 2023. Two members abstained due to ties to the Yankton Fire Department.
The Yankton City Commission next meets on November 14th, at 7 pm in the CMTEA building at 1200 West 21st Street. The public is invited to attend.
