The Yankton School Board has approved the recommendation to purchase land that will allow the school district to build a new Early Childhood Facility.
The property, which is next to Chan Gurney Municipal Airport is approximately 11.8 acres.
YSD Superintendent Dr. Wayne Kindle spoke about the process that led to this moment.
Yankton School Board President Frani Kieffer says that the purchase is exciting for the Yankton School District.
Once agreed upon, the school district will purchase the land for $600,000.
