USD to Sell Alcohol at Sporting Events

The University of South Dakota has announced changes to its alcohol policy following recent approval from the South Dakota Board of Regents.

Beer will be sold at all Coyote athletic events in the Dakota Dome and Sanford Coyote Sports Center starting on Friday, with the Coyotes volleyball matches against CSU Bakersfield and West Virginia.

Corey Jenkins, the Senior Associate AD for Facilities and Operations at USD explained where fans in attendance can purchase alcohol.

Jenkins says that alcohol sales will begin one hour prior to the event start and end at the start of the third set in a 2-0 match or fourth set in a 2-1 match for volleyball.

Jenkins also says that for football games in the Dakota Dome, beer will be sold out of the concession stands on the west side, and standalone alcoves on the east side.

Jenkins added that fans must show a valid ID to purchase alcohol, and will receive a wristband after their first purchase. For more information, go to https://goyotes.com/
