If you sat at the Riverboat Days Parade over the weekend you may have noticed something new about the Yankton Fire Department’s entry in the parade.
That is because Yankton Fire Department recently announced that they have purchased a new truck. The truck helped pull the fire department’s float during the Riverboat Days Parade.
Larry Nickles, the Yankton Deputy Fire Chief says that the truck will help the fire department transport equipment to incidents.
Nickles says that the support from the community means a lot to him and the fire department.
Nickles added that the fire department thanks everyone who contributed towards helping them purchase the truck.
