Yankton Man Arrested On Multiple Charges After Pursuit

A Yankton man has been arrested on multiple charges after a pursuit near Yankton Tuesday afternoon.

Yankton County Chief Deputy Sheriff Michael Rothschadl says that on Tuesday afternoon at 3:13PM, the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office was investigating a theft of several radiators that occurred at Truck Trailer Sales on East Highway 50.

The Sheriff’s Office located a suspect in the theft, 18-year-old Matthew Grage, on Tuesday. He was driving a 2001 Grey Chevrolet Tahoe northbound on West City Limits Road and a pursuit was initiated after he failed to stop for law enforcement. Rothschadl says the pursuit ended east of Yankton near a Trailer Court off of 309th Street at the Jim River. Deputies successfully deployed spike strips to get the vehicle stopped.

Grage was arrested on charges of aggravated eluding law enforcement, failure to maintain financial responsibility, reckless driving, four stop sign violations, driving with a suspended license, petty theft, and two outstanding arrest warrants.

22-year-old Joseph Huber was also arrested concerning the theft from Truck Trailer Sales. He was charged with Petty Theft 1st Degree.
