A multi-county pursuit by local law enforcement ended in two individuals behind bars early Monday morning.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol says that they were asked to assist with a pursuit that started in Yankton. The pursuit continued on Highway 50 and then north on Interstate 29 into Lincoln County. The vehicle came to a stop at mile marker 61 in Lincoln County around 1:00 AM Monday.
Two people were taken into custody after the pursuit. The 25-year-old female driver was identified as Lelana Fallis of Pierre. The 35-year-old male passenger was identified as Anthony Pewo of Yankton. Pewo also suffered minor injuries.
The investigation continues. Fallis was arrested for false impersonation, reckless driving, aggravated eluding and a parole hold.
