Many Yankton residents have taken notice of some work being done at a majestic and mysterious old building in the Meridian District of Yankton. At 333 Cedar Street sits the Yankton Scottish Rite Temple.

These upgrades are expected to keep people within the building more comfortable while saving on utility bills. Members from all over South Dakota have assisted in making sure that these improvements were installed.

This building houses a theater with some equipment dating back to the 1890s. For anyone who would like to have a closer look, the public is welcome to attend two musical numbers being performed at 4:15 pm on Saturday, April 23, followed by tours of the entire building.
