Campaign Signs Stolen From Yankton

Multiple campaign signs have been stolen from Yankton.

Yankton County Chief Deputy Sheriff Michael Rothschadl says that early Sunday morning, the Yankton County Sheriff’s Office received a call that there were numerous campaign signs on the road northeast of Utica. The deputy collected approximately forty signs belonging to various candidates and businesses.

Rothschadl says that the recovered signs were stolen and intentionally damaged from the northeast end of Yankton and dumped at the intersection of 437th Avenue & 300th Street. Rothschadl says that their office has obtained a video of an individual and a pickup that is possibly connected to the crime.

The Sheriff’s office is asking residents that if you have any information concerning this crime, please call Crimestoppers at 665-4440. They are offering awards up to one thousand dollars.
