A contract has been awarded for another major highway construction project in northern Yankton County.
Regional Department of Transportation Engineer Greg Rothschadl says Foothills Contracting of Webster was awarded the nineteen-million-dollar contract for work on about twenty miles of Highway 46 from Highway 81 to Irene….
Rothschadl says this year will be mostly prep work…
The highway has been rebuilt in segments, first from the Iowa border to Beresford, then to Irene.
