A Yankton man was arrested for drunk driving over the weekend after he hit a parked car in town.
According to Yankton Police Chief Jason Foote, on Saturday evening, officers responded to the intersection of 19th and Burleigh Street for a possible injury accident.
Upon officer arrival, a 2013 Chevy Malibu was parked in the road. During the investigation, it was determined the Chevy Malibu was traveling southbound on Burleigh Street when it struck a parked vehicle on the west side of the road.
Foote says the driver of the Chevy Malibu was identified as 40-year-old Andrew Evans and was arrested for 1st offense DUI.
