As severe weather season approaches, area residents will have an opportunity to be trained weather spotters later this week.
On Thursday evening, representatives from the National Weather Service will be presenting a training opportunity at 7:00 PM. It will be held at Fire Station number two in Yankton.

Coincidently, this is Severe Weather Awareness Week in Nebraska. A Statewide Tornado Drill will be held Wednesday at10:00 AM across Nebraska.
