The old Dakota Territorial Museum at Westside Park in Yankton looks a little different today.
The Yankton County Historical Society has allowed individuals from the Bon Homme Colony to deconstruct the building and move it to their colony south of Tyndall.

The museum contents were moved to the Mead Cultural Education Center, which opened in December of 2018. The old building served Yankton and the surrounding area for nearly forty years.
