The popular Citywide Cleanup begins at the end of the week at the Yankton Transfer Station with curbside pickup coming in early April. Yankton City Manager Amy Leon says the annual project will start with open dropoff set to begin Saturday.
Leon says the city will also be returning to curbside pickup this year.
Leon says residents participating in Citywide Cleanup should check the city’s website, www.cityofyankton.org, for lists of what items are accepted.
She says despite the success of the voucher system that was implemented during Covid-19, city staff decided the public also appreciated the curbside pickup.
Again, the earliest date the city would like to see discarded material at the curb is March 26th.
